3. Sage Accounts Production

Version 6.1.6.2.  Update for Sage Accounts Production
The database text switch issue has been resolved in this servicepack and we would recommend all our users of Sage Accounts Production V6.0. to update to V6.1.
Please click on the link below, which will take you to the Sage website, where you will locate the most up to date servicepack patch for Version 6.0 build 3 release 12/1201 of Sage Accounts Production. The servicepack will update Sage Accounts Production to Version 6.1 Release 6 Build 2.

4. Sage Commercial

Version 6.0 Update for Sage Commercial
Please click on the link below which will take you to the SAGE website, where you can locate the most up to date servicepack patch for Version 6 build 3 release 13 of Commercial. The servicepack will update Commercial to Version 6 build 3 release 1301.

Customer and Supplier Refund/Overpayment

Currently there is no option to issue a refund to customer or to process a refund from a supplier for an overpayment. The option for negative payments has been removed in Version 6.0 of Commercial. These transactions can be recorded on Sage Commercial by the use of accounting transactions. Access the article below for further information on Refunds and Overpayments

Backing Up a Company Dataset on Commercial.

By backing up a company, you create a copy of your current company so that in the event of data loss you can recover it. It is imperative that all users of Commercial backup their company data on a daily or weekly basis. Access the article below for further information on how to Backup up your company dataset.

To reactivate an employee - edit on the employee and untick 'Inactive'

7. TAS Books

Project Costing

Tag Codes were taken to the next level with the release of version 5 for TAS Books 2 & 3, being replaced by the much more powerful Project Costing Module.  This module is fantastic for companies in the construction, service or consultancy industries because it can allow users to split a single purchase transaction across multiple projects and allocate different costs within each project.  In addition, users can assign customers to individual projects.  Full reporting and enquiry support is also included within this module.

8. Sage 50 Client Manager / Sage 50

If you are using Sage Line 50 v9.xx and above, Sage Instant Accounts Plus v10.xx and above or Sage Instant Accounts v12.xx, you can add lines and boxes to your documents. This allows you to create professional looking documents without the need for stationery. For example, you could enhance the appearance of an email invoice layout by adding lines and boxes. To add lines and boxes to your layout:

9. Sage Payroll

Check the version of your Sage Payroll Software
It is very important to ensure that your version of the software is up-to-date with legislation. To check your version, open your payroll software and login.  The top left hand corner will display the version you are using.

Micropay
Micropay Professional - Now Easier to Delete Employees
A change has been made in Micropay Professional 2007 v6.00 to simplify the process of deleting employees. There is no longer a need to phone support for a code to access the deletion function.
The new delete employee tool now walks you through carefully removing the employee. The Help files located in Micropay Professional have been updated to offer additional assistance.
In order to use this new feature, ensure the following:

Quickpay

Quickpay Automatic Payroll Processing
Automatic payroll processing can save you time if you have a standard payroll with few or no adjustments required.
Once you have set the period, from your toolbar select the following options:

The system will automatically process the payroll with the standard amounts for all active employees on file (i.e. those who are not marked as having left the company). You may then use the standard ‘Enter Time and Pay’ icon to make any additional necessary adjustments.

11. Future Releases

Sage Coretime v2.0 is now available 

Major Features:
1 - We've rebranded the product 'Coretime TempusPro' as 'Sage Coretime'
2 - Complete revision of the user Interface to give it a more up-to-date look and feel.  Ease of use makes the customer more productive.
3 - New database access components to allow for improved support for MS SQL Server 2005 and MySQL version 5.0. This allows Coretime to fully support the most recent Microsoft and MySQL database technology.
4 - All reports now have detailed report headers detailing the selection options used in creating the report.


Sage TaxPro PT (Personal Tax) v11.0.1 is now available 
Major Features:
1 - Allows clients to 'roll forward' their information into tax year 2007 and contains the tax computation for the 2007 tax year.
2 - A number of data entry screens were redesigned
3 - A new WIP report was added and some existing reports were also updated  
4 - The mail-merge is now fully functional. This allows users to create customised letters and then  generate them for all clients with information from the database.

Micropay Professional 2007 v6.00 is now available to download from sage.ie/support.
