In creating Sage 50 2013, we listened to over 4,000 Sage customers. This feedback was then used to design some great changes to the software, some big, some small, but all of which make Sage 50 Accounts a better solution. The Infographic, which is available to download here, lists just some of the improvements we made to Sage 50. More improvements are listed in this post.
I need reports in a format I can use in Excel.
The ‘To Excel’ button is now on over 100 screens. Excel integrated reporting is improved with more than 88 Sage functions. Additionally the format of reports has been improved so when they are exported into Excel, they are in a format that can be used without the need to manipulate the spread sheet. Reports are now in a format that does not merge cells making it easier for you to use the data. For more information on the Excel functionality in Sage 50 Accounts 2013, watch this video.
I am not an accountant so talk to me in a language I understand.
Over 1,000 feature labels have been updated so that users don’t need to know accounting terminology to use them.
I run reports regularly. Is there an easy way to find them?
There are over 900 reports in Sage 50 Accounts Professional, and you can easily add reports to favourites.
The Sage 50 2013 report browser includes a description of what each report shows. This is a great addition as there are over 900 reports in accounts professional so the description allows you to quickly see what each report shows. With Sage 50 2013 you can now find the report you need when you want the information quickly. A hover over action button enables you to open or export reports quickly. More information on the report browser is available in this video.
I need to file my returns online.
With Sage 50 2013, you can produce a VAT return as an XML file and upload it to the Irish Revenue website. XML outputs are available for VAT, Intrastat Arrivals, VIES and Dispatches. Sage 50 2013 guides you through the process of doing returns to help you understand the process and know when you have completed it successfully.
With Sage 50 2013, online filing of VAT returns is enabled by default. Now you can produce a VAT return (XML file) quickly that satisfies Irish legislation. Just log into the secure area of the Irish Revenue website and the XML can be uploaded, saving time and minimising the risk of mistyping information and giving you peace of mind that you are compliant.
