Announcing Lunch ‘n Learn with Sage on Facebook

By Beatrice Whelan, Social Media and Content Specialist at Sage Ireland.

Lunch 'n Learn at SageAt Sage there is only one thing we love more than talking to business owners and that is helping business owners. So as part of our ongoing social media activities we are announcing four live chats on our Facebook page in the coming months. These live chats are called ‘Lunch ‘n Learn’ as they are held from 12.30 to 2.30 so you can pop over to our Facebook wall during your lunch break and ask a questions or just check out the conversation on the wall. We have selected topics that affect real businesses every day and have invited recognised experts in those areas to come onto our Facebook page and answer your questions. You are invited to view our Facebook wall during the chat and post your questions to the wall. Our experts will then answer your question as a comment on your wall post. Our first Facebook Lunch ‘n Learn is on 16th February and coincides with international Social Media Week.

If you want to register for this event or submit your question in advance  we have a Lunch ‘n Learn tab on our Facebook page, or you can post it in a comment below this blog post or you can email your question to social.media@sage.com.

Dates and Topics

The live chats will run on the specified dates from 12.30 – 2.30.

February – Thursday 16th February. The Business Benefits of Cloud Software.

March – Thursday 15th March. Social Media for Small Business.

April – Thursday 12th April.  Business Startups – How To Survive the First Two Years in Business.

May – Thursday 24th May. Running Your Business Accounts. Everything from VAT registration to managing cashflow.

We have also introduced a mascot for our chats called Ollie (whose name was decided via suggestions on our Facebook wall). Ollie is an owl of course and has all of the traditional associations of wisdom and knowledge but we hope that the learning won’t be one sided as we also want to learn from you. What have your experiences of cloud computing or cloud software been? We want you to share your experience also. Perhaps you can join with our ‘experts’ and help share your knowledge with some of the other people that join in the chat.

For our first chat on 16th Feburary about The Business Benefits of Cloud Software, we have invited Paul McEvoy, the  ‘Google Apps Guy’ with Baker Security & Networks to be one of our experts. Paul is focused 100% on The Cloud and on helping Irish companies take their first steps on this new journey.  Paul will be joined by our own experts on everything cloud; Erin McCann, Commercial Product Manager at Sage and Alan Leahy, Manager of Sage CRM Cloud Product and Operations. So if you are wondering about Cloud and SaaS in general or have a specific question about any of our Cloud products why not post your question and join us on February 16th to get the answer from our experts.

For more information on the first of the Sage Lunch ‘n Learn and to view details of our experts for that event, visit The Business Benefits of Cloud Software or to register in advance and submit a question visit our Facebook page.
