What makes us different is our people; our complete dedication to doing the right thing by the customer and our commitment to support them to the very best of our ability.

At Sage we employ people who have a passion for helping others succeed. We believe that for both the company and an individual to be successful, every employee at Sage must have a focus on our customers. And our hard work has been recognised - Sage Ireland was awarded the CCMA Best Technical Support Centre 2009.  The award recognises and promotes best practice and acknowledges innovation and excellence within the contact centre industry.

To achieve our vision, we’re committed to connecting with our customers, to understand their business, their wants and their needs.

This means we recognise each customer as an individual and work with them to help find ways to make running their business more simple, using our software and services.

Our Guiding Principles

We continue to strive towards achieving our company vision: To be the business software company that everyone recommends.

To achieve our vision, we’re committed to connecting with our customers, to understand their business, their wants and their needs.

This means we recognise each customer as an individual and work with them to help find ways to make running their business more simple, using our software and services.

Our People

The market we serve is highly competitive, dynamic and fast moving and we have customers who are ever more discerning. Therefore, we need to recruit and retain people of the highest quality if we are to succeed. That’s why we need to build relationships with our people so that we can understand everyone’s individual strengths and areas of development.

At Sage you’ll be joining a team that is self-motivated, driven and passionate about customers and that is committed to delivering results. We believe we provide our people with an environment in which individual talent can be identified, recognised and rewarded. At Sage, we never lose sight of the fact that it is our people that underpin our success.

Personal Development

Training, development and lifelong learning are key aspects of Sage Ireland’s people strategy and the leadership team are committed to providing the necessary tools for all our employees to grow and develop in their careers.

Our aim is to continually enhance both the business and the personal skills of employees. To do this, Sage provides educational sponsorship to employees who wish to pursue external courses of study which result in recognised professional qualifications and which contribute to the effectiveness and competence in an employee’s current or future role.

Continued training and coaching is necessary to remain up-skilled in such a fast-moving industry. Sage has put in place on-the-job training and coaching by our dedicated internal training team and training programmes which employees are encouraged to attend.

Sage recognises the importance of continuous management development. We organise management programmes for aspiring and existing managers to build their skills in running a business and to effectively manage people. Many of our team leaders and managers started with us in the early stages of their career. If you have the desire to develop, we will give you the opportunity to achieve your full potential and will encourage you to develop your skills and knowledge of our business.

On a final note, Sage supports and encourages the concept of lifelong learning. It’s never too soon or late for learning. Lifelong learners plan their own learning, learn from their peers and use different learning strategies for different situations. In today’s fast-paced organisations, this allows people to be better able to react in an agile manner to a rapidly changing business climate. Therefore, the promotion of lifelong learning is of great importance to us.

Q. What are you looking for in my application?

We look for the required skills, experience and/or education as set out in the job description against the information a candidate provides.

We would then shortlist the candidates who have these and invite them for an initial telephone or face-to-face interview.

Q. What are the processes for candidates?

Once you have been successful through our initial short listing of candidates, we use a number of processes to find the successful candidates for the vacancy:

  • The Interview - We use competency based interviews to enable candidates to provide specific examples from past experience and roles, with information on what you did and why. This helps us to structure our interviews around the key behaviours and experience we are looking for in the role. This ensures we are using the same process and questions for all candidates involved in the recruitment for the role.
  • Additional exercises - We may use additional exercises such as role-plays, exercises, aptitude or psychometric assessments and presentations. Role-plays tend to be based on typical situations you can find yourself in at work, such as dealing with a difficult customer.

Q. Will you require employment references?

It's essential that we protect our business, customers and our people. Therefore, we thoroughly assess and check every potential employee wishing to join our organisation once an offer of employment has been made.

We request two employment references. This will involve providing two referees and in some cases proof of, education certificates, and relevant professional qualifications. If these prove to be unsatisfactory, we can retract the offer of employment to the candidate.
