Can I print P60’s on Plain Paper?
Yes you can. The 2009 P60 template will be incorporated in the Payroll Year End 2009 Update. P60’s can be printed on to blank stationary using this template.
Can I print P60’s onto pre-printed stationary?
Yes, the facility to print onto Revenue approved pre-printed stationary will be incorporated in the Payroll Year End 2009 Update
I’ve printed my P60’s but one or more employees are missing?
Check the employee’s details; is there a finish date? If an employee finishes employment with a company before the 31st of December, they are not entitled to a P60 from that employer.
Will I have a week 53 this year?
If your normal payday falls on a Thursday you will have a week 53.
Micropay Professional users will see a week 53 on their Calendar in the software. To check this go to Company/Payroll – Calendar.
Quickpay customers can go to Company/Payroll Setup – Company Payroll Details. And on the Current Period tab they will see an option for Extra Pay Period, which they must tick to enable a week 53. Note you must only tick this if you are entitled to process a week 53.
I am using Windows Vista or Windows 7 and when I run the update I can no longer access the software
Your desktop shortcut needs to be amended in order for the software to run correctly on Windows Vista or Windows 7. Follow the instructions below
· PRSI classes exceeds the number of classes allowed
This error may occur if the insurance weeks have exceeded the number of valid weeks allowed for the year.
· Employee not paying PRSI when they should be
The error may occur if manual adjustments have been made during the year or there is a zero value timesheet saved. In the Employee Details screen, ETP tab you will need to manually adjust the period line that has the PRSI discrepancy.
· Employee paying employer PRSI when it’s not necessary to do so.
This can happen Please check you have the calendar and period dates set up correctly in the company and calendar menus.
We have been informed by Revenue that our printed P60s on plain paper are acceptable. If you wish to make a paper based P60 you will have to use the Revenue Stationery.
· BIK for Period 53 not showing on consolidated P35
This issue can be due to the calendar being set up incorrectly in one or all companies. You can check your calendar dates by logging into the appropriate company and going to the Company/Payroll menu and choose calendar.
