1. Why does my Computer keep blocking the download?
If you use pop-up blocking software, it may prevent you from downloading this file. It may be necessary to temporarily disable the blocking of pop-ups.
2. How do I enter my customer information?
Customers are the lifeblood of your business and without them your business will not survive. Your business plan must demonstrate that you have researched your business idea thoroughly and that you understand who your target customers are.
You can use Sage Planning for Business to enter information about the types of customer that you will have, such as retail and trade.
To enter a customer type
- Open the Plan view in the left-hand pane, and then double-click 3.2 Types of Customer.
- To add a new customer type click New, complete the Customer Type information, and then click OK.
3. Why can’t I enter information directly on to the projected Cash-Flow/Profit & Loss/Balance Sheet section of my business plan?
The management reports in Sage Planning for Business are automatically calculated based on the information that you have entered in the other sections of your plan.
Ask Sage contains a number of articles that explain how to complete specific sections of the business plan.
4. I’ve entered data against my product types but only the name and description are included on my plan, why is this?
Due to the potentially complex nature of data entered for your type of products and services, only a list of the names and details are included on the printed business plan.
Any detail regarding costing, units and sales pricing can be accessed by opening the Types of Product & Service section of your business plan.
Tip: To exclude a type of product or service from printing on your plan, open the Types of Product and Service section, select the relevant record then clear the Include this item on the business plan check box.
