  • 17/12/2009 VAT rate change

    The standard rate of VAT decreases from 21.5% to 21% from 1 January 2010.   Standard VAT customers should click here (opens up Standard_VAT_Taster.pdf) for more information, VAT Cash Accounting Customers should click here (opens up VCA_Taster.pdf).

    Zero rated goods, such as basic foodstuffs, children’s clothing and children's footwear and oral medicines, and goods and services subject to VAT at the 13.5% rate such as catering, new houses, construction services and solid fuel are not affected by the change.

    EC Sales List (VIES) changes

    From 1 January 2010, VIES must include the sale of services as well as goods.
